Topic: Jean Piaget theory and application to today’s classroom

As we all know that teaching is one of the most rewarding professions, it gives us an opportunity to make an impact on a future generation.

It is also extremely difficult and drainingβ€”no one with actual teaching experience would tell you otherwise.

Being a teacher takes patience, dedication, passion, and the ability to do more with less.

It is a treacherous journey often filled with just as many valleys as there are mountains. Those committed to the profession do so simply because they want to be difference makers.

I really appreciate teachers who are truly passionate about teaching. The teacher who wants to be an inspiration to others. The teacher who is happy with his/her job at all times.

The teacher who every child in the school would love to have. The teacher children remember for the rest of their lives.

Are you that teacher?

Today i will be deliberating with us on 20 habits of an effective teacher from experience and observation

1⃣ Build a Meaningful Relationships With Your Students

Teaching should not be treated as a popular contest, there is always a value in getting to know your students on a personal level.β€πŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ–€

build relationships with your students in order to gain their support, increase engagement, and minimize disruptions in your classroom.

Is not too late to adopt this approach

2⃣ DEVELOP A LISTEN MIND

Listen to your students. Be open to receiving feedback in class so that they feel that they have some sort of influence on their learning experience.πŸ’“πŸ’ž

3⃣ DEVELOP A CURIOSITY MIND FOR YOUR STUDENTS

Develop a genuine curiosity about their interests and what’s on their minds. Find parallels in your own life to bridge the conversation.

4⃣ Identify their strengths and weaknesses as quickly as possible.

Use the following

🧑Use play and cultivate the imagination.

πŸ’™find out what makes them unique.

πŸ’™What causes then to express joy and happiness? Maybe DRAWING πŸ˜ƒ

πŸ’– What are the things that keep their attention the longest?

πŸ’œResist the urge to evaluate everything and overstate expectations.

πŸ–€Don’t compare them.

β€πŸ§‘πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’˜πŸ’

5⃣Enjoys Teaching

Teaching is meant to be a very enjoyable and rewarding career field (although demanding and exhausting at times!).

You should only become a teacher if you love children and intend on caring for them with your heart.

You cannot expect the children to have fun if you are not having fun with them! If you only read the instructions out of a textbook, it’s ineffective. Instead, make your lessons come alive by making it as interactive and engaging as possible.

Let your passion for teaching shine through each and everyday. Enjoy every teaching moment to the fullest.

6⃣Makes a Difference

There is a saying, “With great kknowledge, comes great responsibility”.

As a teacher, you need to be aware and remember the great responsibility that comes with your profession. One of your goals ought to be: Make a difference in their lives.

How? Make them feel special, safe and secure when they are in your classroom.

Be the positive influence in their lives.

Why? You never know what your students went through before entering your classroom on a particular day or what conditions they are going home to after your class. So, just in case they are not getting enough support from home, at least you will make a difference and provide that to them.πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ’–πŸ’˜

7⃣ Spreads Positivity

Bring positive energy into the classroom every single day. You have a beautiful smile so don’t forget to flash it as much as possible throughout the day.

If you don’t pls borrow fromπŸ‘‰πŸΏ πŸ˜€πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜„

We all face battles of our own in life but once you enter that classroom, you should leave all of it behind before you step foot in the door. Your students deserve more than for you to take your frustration out on them.

No matter how you are feeling, how much sleep you’ve gotten or how frustrated you are, never let that show. Even if you are having a bad day, learn to put on a mask in front of the students and let them think of you as a superhero (it will make your day too)! Be someone who is always positive, happy and smiling.

Always remember that positive energy is contagious and it is up to you to spread it. πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’–πŸ’–bestπŸ–€πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ§‘

9⃣Gives 100%

Whether you are your to set up the classroom environment before resumption or lesson, Do your job for the love of teaching and not because you feel obligated to do it.

Do it for self-growth.
Do it to inspire others.
Do it so that your students will get the most out of what you are teaching them.

Give 100% for yourself, students, parents, school and everyone who believes in you.

Never give up, try your bestπŸ–€πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ§‘

8⃣ Have a Sense of Humor

You have to have a sense of humor in the classroom. If you do not there will be a disconnect because the kids will not like you and you will not like the kids. Using a sense of humor with your students is the best way to disarm a bad situation.

1⃣0⃣Emphasize problem-solving

It’s a cliche because it’s true: a big part of education is teaching students how to think for themselves. Present lessons as opportunities to solve problems and work independently

🈹?communication

1⃣1⃣ Emphasize safety

Your classroom needs to be an emotionally safe place where students can ask questions without worrying about feeling dumb or left behind.
Making a safe space drastically increases the amount and quality of classroom communication

1⃣2⃣Say it again

Another effective communication method to help students especially someone like me IS TO SAY IT AGAIN AND AGAIN

Remember the lesson is called “front-loading.” Basically, you address a concept at the beginning of class and again at the end, letting the repetition drive home its importance

1⃣3⃣Trust your students

It’s vital that you come to trust your students and their ability to help you learn more about yourself and your methods. You’ll grow so much as a teacher.

1⃣4⃣Lead by exampleπŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

Want your students to treat others with respect? Show them model behavior

1⃣5⃣Break the rules

Variety is the spice of the classroom. Use different or unorthodox sources to get your lessons across. If it works, it works.

There is always something positive to be found in every situation in the LEARNING environment, but it is up to you to find it.

Keep your head up and teach happily for the love of education!

Thank you for your time πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ§‘πŸ’πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ
